The 3-2-1 Backup Rule

Keep at least three copies of your data – The original and at least two backups.

Keep the backed-up data on two different storage formats – As a baseline an internal hard drive, and secondary storage on the cloud.

Keep at least one copy of the data offsite – It mitigates losing everything in the event of a natural disaster, theft or fire.
